The short version

Nothing you type into any ClockTally calculator is sent to us or anyone else. Tools run entirely in your browser; saved timesheets and templates are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device, and you can erase them at any time by clearing your browser data.

Calculator inputs

All calculations execute locally in your browser using JavaScript. ClockTally has no backend server that receives your entries, and no account system. We could not read your timesheets if we wanted to.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are used and how the site is found (for example, page views, referral source, country, and device type). It sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart and reports to us only in aggregate. Analytics data does not include anything you type into the calculators. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

Advertising

ClockTally is supported by advertising. Ads are managed by Mediavine (Journey by Mediavine), whose partners use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads, measure them, and — where permitted — personalise them to your interests. Mediavine's own notice, which lists what it collects and how to opt out, is reproduced at the end of this page, and its partners are listed at mediavine.com/ad-partners.

• EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors are asked for consent before advertising cookies are set, and can change their choice at any time through the "Update Privacy Settings" link in the footer.
• Visitors in U.S. states with opt-out rights can use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Information" link in the footer where it is required, or the Global Privacy Control signal described in Mediavine's notice below.
• Opting out does not remove ads; it means the ads you see are not personalised.

Ads are never placed inside the working area of a tool, and the embeddable calculator on other websites runs no ads or analytics. The heart and share buttons on our pages are provided by Grow, also from Mediavine; any bookmarks you save with them are covered by Mediavine's notice below.

Local storage

The time card calculator autosaves your current sheet and any named templates to your browser's local storage under keys beginning with clocktally:. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted, and is removed when you clear site data in your browser.

Who runs ClockTally

ClockTally is run by Mohammed Mahir Rahman, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the analytics described above. Mediavine is responsible for the advertising data described in its notice below.

Your rights and contact

You can ask for a copy of, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Because the calculators collect nothing, in practice this covers analytics data only. Privacy questions: hello@clocktally.com. If you are in the UK and unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
